<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>I thought it was the right time to give you an update from my homelab.<\/p>\n
A shot overview of what I got there (top to bottom)<\/p>\n
– Supermicro 24\/7 NAS Server (Freenas, X3470, 16GB RAM, 2x 4TB mirror, 6x 4TB Raid Z2)<\/p>\n
– Supermicro CSE-815 24\/7 VM Host #1 (ESXi, E3-1240, 32GB RAM, 4x 2TB Raid 5)<\/p>\n
– DL360 G7 Lab-Host (ESXi, 2x QC CPU, 96GB RAM, 2x (4x 600GB Raid 5)) as Host for Lab-VMs<\/p>\n
– First DL160 G6 currently GNS3 Host (Win 10 Pro, 2x QC CPU, 64GB RAM, 2x 300GB mirror, 2x 2TB miror)<\/p>\n
– 2x DL160 G6 for Cluster-Setups (ESXi, Proxmox, Xen, xcp-ng, Hyper-V etc.)<\/p>\n
– HP Storageworks (1x 6C CPU, 32GB RAM) used to be my primary NAS but to power hungry<\/p>\n
– RX200 S7 24\/7 VM Host #2 (1x E5-2670, 128GB RAM, 4x 600GB Raid 5) and my favourite server so far<\/p>\n
– Netapp DS2246 (24x 600GB SAS) to play with – to power hungry for 24\/7 (searching for an afordable server with 24 bays)<\/p>\n
– BX900 S1 with 18x BX920 S2 (2x E5603, 16GB RAM) and 4 Blade Switches (to play with, „replacement“ for c7000)<\/p>\n
– C7000 with 1x BL460c G1 (to test the system), 5x BL460c G7 (2x Barebone, 3x Dual CPU+RAM) (for fun)<\/p>\n

How much power does this draw? Is it very loud?<\/p>\n
Depending on load for the 24\/7 stuff ~250-450w. When I play with the blades >=2kw I plan to implement a dedicated circuit but until now it is „shared“ It’s not enough heat for cold days.
